Arup website

Established in 1946, Ove Arup Partnership (Arup) (www.arup.com) is a global organisation of consulting engineers, planners and project managers working in all areas of the built environment. Its work covers a wide range of sectors, where the firm is currently advising on construction projects totaling approximately US$50 billion in value. Arup now has more than 5000 people operating from 75 offices worldwide and an annual turnover exceeding US$400 million, derived from work in more than 50 countries.

Arup is a global player in the building industry and a powerful technology house. A driving aim of the firm is to see the closer working of the different disciplines and an increase in the true value that the team brings to its client and its project. The practice’s founder dreamed of teams producing ‘Total Architecture’ – with full integration. This is an element of the 21st century contribution to that dream.

Arup has been dealing with the issues of developing design solutions between offices for longer than most – in different countries, in different time zones and different cultures. Seeking a truly intuitive and practical solution to the issues of project collaboration for some time but finding none on the market that met its exacting standards, the firm has developed its own. Due to its popularity with the clients, consultants and contractors who have used it, Arup is now bringing Integration to the market.

Arup represents a tremendous concentration of technical and strategic knowledge and brings an extensive client and contact base to Causeway. In the 12 months since Integration was launched, it has risen to 'best in class' status against heavy competition. It is seen as a significant example of the value of the firm's experience and intellectual capital in this arena.
